Help us create an opera house in Hertfordshire!
Opera is suffering at the moment. There are very few Opera Houses in London, the surrounding counties, and none in Hertfordshire. Professional musicians graduating from conservatories and music schools have almost no job opportunities ahead of them. Existing musicians find ever growing gaps in their professional calendars. With all of these issues the news that ENO is now having to relocate to Manchester exacerbates these problems even further.
Hertfordshire Opera based in Watford, aims to attract talented, graduated and professional opera singers as well as instrumentalists who, due to lack of Jobs in the Opera music industry, have gaps in their professional calendars. We boost their confidence with the experience they gain helping them prove their worth in achieving a successful career. After over eight years of hard grueling work in further education, sadly, most of our talented musicians end up giving up on their music careers. Simply because they cannot make a living. Help us create an Opera House that can help carry the load for our amazing, home grown, operatic talent.
