After over eight hard working years of further education, sadly most of the musicians end up taking on different jobs. Help Me keep Opera Alive in Hertfordshire! Based Watford, I aim to attract new audiences to the love of opera. There are very few Opera Houses in London, the surrounding counties, and none in Hertfordshire. Professional musicians graduating from conservatories and music schools have almost no job opportunities ahead of them. Existing musicians find ever growing gaps in their professional calendars. With all of these issues the news that ENO is now having to relocate to Manchester exacerbates these problems even further.
