Why Sound Engineers Love Working With a Professional Corporate Singer. The sound engineer was slightly worried about the opera repertoire. He was afraid I would be too loud, especially with the sound system in place. This is a very common worry among organisers and sound engineers when they book an opera singer, especially when the space for the corporate event is small. They have probably worked with inexperienced singers before who screamed their lungs out very closely into the microphone.I assured him there would be no issue. I can absolutely adjust my singing volume and handle the microphone in such a way that it captures just enough of my voice by adjusting the distance to my mouth. The reason I know so much about it is because I have experience performing on TV and have encountered various issues with sound, and I know every possible scenario and what can be done to make a smooth performance. All of my skills come together here and it is fascinating how many skills are needed for a professional singer to put a corporate event organiser or sound engineer at ease. It is not easy at all!
